It has a tough reinforced backing, and a powerful, thick rubber adhesive that provides maximum bonding strength* to almost any surface. Our Flex Super Wide Duct Tape is removable, repositionable, and can be torn by hand (vertically and horizontally), so there’s no waste. Plus, it’s water**, weather, and UV resistant. It is available in 7.5” (19 cm) and 4.6” (11.7 cm) widths, both measuring 20 ft (6.1 m) long.
Excellent for: reinforcing boxes, general household repairs, arts & crafts, DIY projects, temporary auto repairs, caravans, sealing drafty windows and doors, awnings, tents, securing cords and wires***, furniture tears, A/C units, duct work, and much more.

**Not intended to be applied on wet surfaces or continuously submerged underwater.
***Not to be used as an electrical tape.
Note: Before using Flex Seal products, read all directions and cautions.
1. Prepare the Surface: Surfaces need to be clean, dry, and free of oil or grease.
2. Tearing the Tape: To tear Flex Super Wide Duct Tape, make sure your hands are dry. Firmly grab the area to be torn with both hands close together and quickly pull the tape apart making sure the tape doesn’t fold in on itself.
3. Unrolling the Tape: To un-roll Flex Super Wide Duct Tape, just start at one corner of the roll and lift the edge of the tape up, then continue to pull until you get to the desired length. (On the 7.5” (19 cm) wide tape you may want to use both hands to unroll the tape.) Try not to let the tape fold in on itself as you unroll the amount you need.
4. Application: When applying to the surface, you’ll want to tear a piece of our Super Wide Duct Tape larger than the area you’re applying it to. Always use firm pressure to remove any folds or creases in the material. You can also use a squeegee or credit card to help remove any folds or creases.
5. Bonding Time: Allow the tape to remain on the surface for an extended period of time. Firm pressure and time on the surface will increase the bonding strength on all surfaces.
6. Storage: Always store unused Flex Super Wide Duct Tape in a cool, dry environment. This way it will be ready to go when you need it again.
Our Flex Super Wide Duct Tape can be torn by hand both horizontally and vertically to just about any size, so there’s no wasted material.
Even though our powerful adhesive is super strong, it can still be removed and repositioned. However, constant repositioning may eventually weaken its bonding strength.
If you’re applying Flex Super Wide Duct Tape to fabric, once again, always use firm pressure and allow the tape to remain on the surface for an extended period of time. This will help increase the bonding strength.
Also, it’s always a good idea to apply it to both sides of the fabric when possible.
Flex Super Wide Duct Tape works on many surfaces, including acrylic, plastics, metal, painted wood, ceramic, porcelain, tile, glass, rubber, fibreglass, formica, drywall, fabric, vinyl and more.
However, it may not bond to certain surfaces such as siliconised material, water-repellent surfaces, some porous surfaces such as raw unpainted wood, concrete and brick or if the surface has grease, oil, dirt, or debris.
That is why it’s important to make sure the area is always clean, dry and free of grease, oil, dirt and debris before applying.
